SolServices Ltd.’s first solar park developed as its own investment is being built near the seat of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County. The project started in the summer of 2021 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2022, at which point the finished solar park will connect to the public grid for commercial operation.

With this investment, we will create one of Hungary’s largest solar power plants. The project, consisting of neighboring facilities with a total installed capacity of 138 MW, is significant as it will be able to produce enough electricity to cover 42 percent of the county’s total residential electricity consumption. Its positive impact on climate protection is also substantial: thanks to the environmentally friendly technology used, we annually prevent approximately 39,000 tons of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to the yearly CO2 absorption of 274 hectares of oak forest — three times the area of the Szolnok Tiszaliget park.

Located near Szolnok, on the outer side of the M4 motorway bypassing the city to the north, this facility will be the country’s largest and the first new-generation, nature-friendly solar park in Hungary and the Central-Eastern European region.
